Login Procedures

There are three different types of login credentials available: administrator, teacher, and parent. The different types of credentials determine what the user has access to upon logging in to Tadpoles!

Administrator Login Procedure
 
Once you have an administrator profile created on your account, you’ll be able to login to your school’s dashboard anywhere that you have access to the internet! If you need help creating your profile or other administrator profiles, visit this link.

To login, visit www.tadpoles.com and click log in at the top right.



On the next page, you’ll select “educators.”



Then you will login using whichever email address is listed for your on your administrator profile!

If it is a non-Gmail address, you’ll use the left side and enter your email and password. If it is a Gmail address, you’ll click on the Goggle box on the right side.

Please note: Using your Google email address and login does not give Google access to Tadpoles nor does it allow Tadpoles to access your Google account. Using the Google account is more secure, allowing a two-step authentication process and it makes it easier by not requiring you to remember an additional password! Tadpoles doesn't see any of your information from Google and Google doesn't see any of your information from Tadpoles. We do not have access to your password, email or any personal information, nor do we want to!

Once you login, you'll be taken directly to your school's dashboard!



Logging into the Tadpoles Pro App

Please Note: Only administrator login credentials will login the app to your school’s account. Any person set to “teacher” as a role, will not be able to login to the app. We recommend that administrators login to the app for the teachers, do not share your login credentials with them. Once the app has been logged in, there is no need to log out. The devices can remain logged in!

If this is the first time you’re logging into the app, you’ll see the following four options.



To access a demo mode for training or practice, you can click the blue “play with demo school” box.



You are welcome to stay in this demo mode for as long as you’d like. When you are ready to login to your live school, from the home screen, you’ll select
“exit demo” at the bottom left.



To login to your live school.

On the home screen, click the purple log in to school box. Then login with the administrator credentials you’d like to use.

Please note: If it is a Gmail address that is used, you’ll need to click the red “sign in with Google” box.




Teacher Login Procedure

If your teachers have been given web login access, they will follow the same steps listed above for administrators. Teachers will login to their account as a “provider.” If you need help creating your teacher profiles and giving them web login access, visit this link.

Please note: If teachers have been given web login access, they should not be prompted to create a new school or even enter the name of their school. If they are having difficulty logging in and web login access has been granted, please reach out to us for additional assistance at hello@tadpoles.com

Once a teacher logs in with their credentials, they’ll be taken to a limited dashboard (shown below). If they have been assigned a classroom, they will only see that classroom. If they have been assigned “all” they will be able to select any classroom to view, add, or edit lesson plan information. 





Parent Login Procedure

Any parent or guardian of a child can create a free parent account that can be used to login to the account via the app or the web.

If they need help creating an account, this link will help them! They can visit this link to learn more about using the app!

Like teachers and administrators, to log into their account on the web, families would start by going to www.tadpoles.com. They'll click "log in" in the top right and will then select "families" on the left side.




 
Then, the parent will need to login using whatever email address is listed for them on the child’s profile within your school’s Tadpoles account.

Please Note: If parents are concerned about connecting to the account through their Google account, please pass along the following details:

Once the parent has logged into the account, they’ll have access to their child’s information, either via the web or the app!
 
If parents would like to change the email associated with their account, you will need to update that for them via the Tadpoles administrator dashboard (or, your external child data management system, if you have one)!
